Q. Can I order a liner in any dimension I want?
A. The PVC liners can be ordered in any dimension
as one solid sheet. However,
to reduce waste and keep our prices low, we ask that one side
of your PVC liner is divisible by 6, length or width.
The UltraGuard liners can be ordered in any dimension
as one solid sheet. However,
to reduce waste and keep our prices low, we ask that one side
of your UltraGuard liner is divisible by 5, length or width. The
EPDM liners must be ordered as shown on the EPDM page
of this site. The Polyethylene liners can be ordered in any
dimension as one solid sheet.
Q. Can I order a liner cut in a particular shape?
A. No. All of our liners are fabricated in square,
flat sheets.
Q. How much material overlap do I need?
A. We believe that a 2' overlap is needed for pond edging
and margin of error for first time pond builders.
Q. Do I need the Geo-pad Underlay?
A. Yes. It is a wise decision to purchase the underlay to match
your liner dimensions. It gives your liner longevity, protecting
it from tree roots, rocks, rodents and soil chemicals.
Q. Which liner material is best for me?
A. Consider the following five factors before making your
liner material decision.
1. What is the coldest temperature in your area?

Q. If I want to seam two liners together, which material
should I use?
A. The PVC and EPDM liners can be seamed with minimal effort. PVC
can be seamed using PVC adhesive. EPDM can be seamed by
using the seam prep, tapes and lap sealant. The
Polyethylene liners (i.e. JP16, JPL24, Permalon and JPL20
& JPL30) can be seamed using Permatape or a heat device.
Q. If I develop a leak in my liner, which material
is the easiest to patch?
A. The PVC and EPDM liners can be patched with minimal effort.
PVC can be patched with excess PVC material. The PVC material
should be cut in a circular patch and bonded to the liner
using PVC adhesive. EPDM is easily patched using our EPDM
patch with adhesive backing. The EPDM patch should be cut
in a circular pattern. The patch adheres to the liner, and
forms a bond stronger than the original material. The UltraGuard
can be patched using excess material along with adhesive
or a heat device.
Q. What color are your liners?
A. All of our liners are black with the exception of JPL16.
One side is black and the other side is white.
